Nurturing Your Little One: Toddler Care & Early Childhood Education

Program Insight

Our toddler daycare program provides a safe, engaging, and structured environment where children ages 18 to 36 months can thrive. At this important stage, we balance predictable routines with enriching free-play. Our early childhood education for toddlers is designed to feel like home, offering a nurturing atmosphere where your child can build confidence, develop social skills, and lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Our Teacher’s Approach to Toddler Care

We follow a toddler-centric approach, with teachers who are highly attuned to each child’s needs. Our educators create a positive, stimulating environment using positive reinforcement to guide behavior. They encourage peer interactions that help toddlers practice sharing, cooperation, and other essential social skills. Through individualized attention and compassionate care, we foster a love for learning that will last for years to come.

A Nurturing Environment

Our toddler care classrooms are designed to support the whole child. We provide a secure and welcoming space with consistent routines and clear boundaries. Structured and unstructured time is balanced, giving toddlers opportunities to explore age-appropriate toys, engage in sensory play, and spark their imaginations. This approach strengthens cognitive, emotional, and physical skills while building community and connection.

Enrichment Programs

Our toddler programs include a wide range of engaging activities to enrich your child’s learning experience. Creativity and early development are at the heart of our curriculum, exposing toddlers to diverse opportunities that inspire curiosity and growth.

Extra-Curricular Activities

We offer additional activities that promote opportunities for exploration, creativity, and physical development.

  • Gardening and Outings: Children explore the outdoors through hands-on experiences with nature.
  • Outdoor Games: Fun, supervised play that builds teamwork and motor skills.
  • Arts and Crafts: Creative projects to encourage self-expression.
  • Fun and Storytime: Reading and imagination-building activities.
  • Puzzles and Math Skills: Activities to support early problem-solving and logical thinking.
  • Sensory Play: Engaging the senses to promote brain development and exploration.
  • Indoor Sports: Age-appropriate physical activities that build coordination and confidence.
  • Music and Movement: A fun way to develop rhythm, coordination, and social skills.

Our Toddler Learning Methodology

Our toddler programs follow a play-based, discovery-centered approach. Classrooms are designed to encourage free exploration and interaction with age-appropriate materials. Routines for meals and naps provide security, while social-emotional development remains a core focus. Children learn to express their needs, develop independence, and form positive relationships with peers and teachers.

Before and After Care

We offer before and after care to support working families, serving children from 3 months to 5 years. This program provides safe, supervised enrichment through arts and crafts, sports, music, and other activities that keep children engaged outside of regular hours. Healthy snacks are included to promote well-being throughout the day.

What Parents Say

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer tours for prospective families?

A: Yes, Maplelawn Childcare welcomes all interested families to come and see our facility. We offer daily in-person tours which can be easily booked by selecting Schedule a Tour on our website.

Q: Tell us a little bit about the in-person school tour?

A: We prioritize understanding the specific needs of each parent. This insight allows us to tailor our school tours to highlight the most relevant aspects of our program. During the tour, we dedicate ample time to explaining our daily routine and educational process. Parents have the opportunity to meet our experienced staff, interact with teachers, and closely examine our classrooms. By showcasing our methodology, materials, and overall classroom environment, we aim to provide parents with a comprehensive understanding of our school and how it can best support their child’s development.

Q: How will I be informed of my child’s progress?

A: Maplelawn Childcare uses a mobile application for communications, it is simple and literally acts as a text message to the teacher or vice versa to know more about the child.

We also encourage the traditional method of setting up a time to meet with the teacher before or after teaching hours. If you have concerns or just want to know about what your child is doing in the classroom, don’t hesitate to set up an appointment.

Maplelawn Childcare offers parent-teacher conference twice a year, one in January and the second at the end of the year. That would be the best time to find out all about the child’s growth and progress.
