Proven as best over time
Safe and Healthy Environment
Maplelawn Childcare’s daycare is a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that positively engages and celebrates children and their families through a world-class childcare support system.
Infant Daily Engagement
Learning is a dynamic process that occurs throughout the day; thus the child needs to be engaged in meaningful, playful and joyful learning experiences.
Infant care like at home
A home away from home, they are managed by committed and experienced teachers with strong backgrounds in caregiving and early years learning, who personalize the experience to accommodate each child’s emotional, social, and intellectual needs and temperament.
Staff and Infant Connect
Our staff bond with our infants to create the sense of trust that enables them to explore the world around them. The caregiving teacher is the most important part of the learning environment for the infant.
Infant Learns Actively
Maplelawn Childcare infant program recognizes that the infant is capable and an active learner. The infant does not need to be “taught” lessons or content. The infant is respected as an already very competent learner, and is allowed, and encouraged, to explore, play, discover and practice in ways, and on a schedule, that best fits his or her emerging abilities, interests, and skills.
Child Development Monitored
Every child’s development is tracked and their growth within the classrooms is recorded by our Lead teachers using nationally recognized assessment tools as well as BrightWheel. We monitor and record tummy time, 30 minutes of which is required each day by Virginia Department of Licensing.
Importance of First Few Months
The first few months of life is very essential, and the objective of the caregiver is to create a loving, safe, and secure environment. This is the most important period in your child’s life, and it is our goal to nurture your child’s abilities, and to help them develop habits that will help them throughout their life.
