Program Insight

At our Early Learning Center, we are dedicated to preparing every 3 to 5-year-old for school readiness through joyful exploration. We utilize the nationally renowned Frog Street curriculum that supports cognitive, social, and physical milestones while balancing structured learning with imaginative play-based preschool activities. Children build core academic skills, strengthen their independence, and develop creativity, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Teacher’s Approach

Our Responsive Teaching Approach: Personalized Learning for Every Child

Our teachers go beyond instruction by offering individualized attention and fostering secure attachments with each child. Using a responsive model, we adapt engagement and support to match every child’s temperament and learning style. Teachers also guide children in conflict resolution, empathy, and celebrating individuality. This personalized approach makes our nurturing environment both effective and special.

Environment

A Stimulating and Nurturing Environment Near Me

We maintain a safe, secure, and highly stimulating setting that feels like a Home away from Home. Families searching for a preschool in (add city/neighborhood) will find our classrooms intentionally designed with learning stations that promote discovery, independence, and confidence. Consistent routines and clear boundaries provide the security children need to grow academically and socially. Our print-rich environment strengthens early literacy while fostering social-emotional skills.

Enrichment Programs

Focused Enrichment Programs: STEM and Hands-on Learning

Our preschool curriculum includes specialized enrichment through STEM programs, making science, technology, engineering, and math engaging and accessible. Children enjoy these hands-on projects, simple experiments, and problem-solving challenges that encourage critical thinking and prepare them for future academic success.

Extra Circular Activities

Engaging Extra-Circular Activities for Preschool Enrollment

We integrate a variety of activities that promote well-rounded development, making our program an excellent choice for Preschool Enrollment:

  • Introduction to STEM: Hands-on science experiments, cooking projects, and building challenges that inspire curiosity and problem-solving.
  • Nature Walks & Sensory Play: Guided outdoor exploration and sensory-rich activities to connect children to the natural world.
  • Creative Arts & Dramatic Play: Open-ended art and imaginative play that fosters creativity and expressive language.
  • Early Literacy Centers: Opportunities for storytelling, phonics, and writing activities exploration in a print-rich setting.

Methodology

Our Play-Based Preschool Methodology

We believe children thrive through play-based learning. Our balanced approach integrates the structure of the Frog Street Curriculum with free play and hands-on activities. This supports all areas of development: cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional skills, while encouraging curiosity and exploration. By making learning joyful, we set children on the path to confidence and school readiness.

The ladies of Maple lawn are wonderful, they were always nice and respectful. They took care of my son and advanced his development while in their care. When I would go to pick him up to come home, he never wanted to leave them. The first day I dropped him off there I was afraid to let him go, but as the week progressed I felt very comfortable leaving him in their care.

This is a really good facility. The staff were very professional and the facility was clean. The study material for the Pre-K was really good with science, language, music and math as part of the curriculum. A little in the expensive side but worth it.

My daughter has been attending this daycare since she was just 6 months old, and she will be turning 2 next month. From the very beginning, the teachers and staff have been amazing. They are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the children. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that my daughter is in such a loving and nurturing environment every day. She has grown, learned, and thrived so much during her time here. I’m truly grateful for the dedication and warmth the entire team brings, and I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe and supportive place for their little one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer tours for prospective families?

A: Yes, Maplelawn Childcare welcomes all interested families to come and see our facility. We offer daily in-person tours which can be easily booked by selecting Schedule a Tour on our website.

Q: Tell us a little bit about the in-person school tour?

A: We prioritize understanding the specific needs of each parent. This insight allows us to tailor our school tours to highlight the most relevant aspects of our program. During the tour, we dedicate ample time to explaining our daily routine and educational process. Parents have the opportunity to meet our experienced staff, interact with teachers, and closely examine our classrooms. By showcasing our methodology, materials, and overall classroom environment, we aim to provide parents with a comprehensive understanding of our school and how it can best support their child’s development.

Q: How will I be informed of my child’s progress?

A: Maplelawn Childcare uses a mobile application for communications, it is simple and literally acts as a text message to the teacher or vice versa to know more about the child.

We also encourage the traditional method of setting up a time to meet with the teacher before or after teaching hours. If you have concerns or just want to know about what your child is doing in the classroom, don’t hesitate to set up an appointment.

Maplelawn Childcare offers parent-teacher conference twice a year, one in January and the second at the end of the year. That would be the best time to find out all about the child’s growth and progress.
